AzCDLPAC Announces its Recommended Candidates List
AzCDLPAC is pleased to present our 2026 Recommended Candidates List. Any candidate for any elected office in Arizona is eligible, so long as they meet AzCDLPAC’s criteria. The candidates presented here have been chosen based on the following criteria:
- They have provided answers to our current AzCDL Candidate Questionnaire that align with AzCDL’s positions and legislative goals.
- They have explicitly expressed support for the right to arms as recognized in the Constitutions of Arizona and the United States.
- They have pledged to back their expressions of support for the right to keep and bear arms with their votes and advocacy as elected servants of the People of Arizona.
AzCDLPAC reserves the right to revise its Recommended Candidates List at any time.
Note that our Recommended Candidates list is not just for the legislature. With Arizona’s strong preemption statute, candidates for county, municipal, or other offices may not be able to directly enact laws or ordinances affecting our Right to Arms, but people in those offices have influence at the state legislature, and at the federal level.
| Candidate name | Office Sought | Party | Optional statement from the AzCDLPAC Questionnaire |
|---|---|---|---|
| Selina Bliss | State House LD1 | Republican | I am honored to sponsor several bills in my four years at the legislature that are supported by the AzCDL, including this session HB2076 (school safety; employee certification; polices). We have alot of work to left to protect and defend our 2A rights and I am proud to step up and serve in this endeavor to do so. Actions speak louder than words, and you will find my vote record supports the mission of the AzCDL. |
| Quang Nguyn | State House LD1 | Republican | |
| Shawnna Bolick | State Senate LD2 | Republican | Closing statement: I am happy Article 2 section 26 is in the AZ Constitution. |
| George Khalaf | State House LD3 | Republican | My default position is to always protect our second amendment and our citizens abilities to bear arms. This is for our citizens right to self defense and that should be taken extremely seriously. |
| Matt Gress | State House LD4 | Republican | |
| Wendy Rogers | State Senate LD7 | Republican | Shall not be infringed. Period. |
| David L Cook Sr. | State House LD7 | Republican | Lifetime NRA |
| James Rogers | State House LD10 | Republican | |
| Christopher King | State Senate LD 17 | Republican | A well armed society is a polite society. As someone who has carried a firearm for work or personally for over 30 years, every permitted possessor q should be able to exercise their God-given right to defend themselves with their weapon of choice. If you can afford it, then you should be able to carry it. If you carry it, it should be so safely and responsibly. As parents and grandparents, it’s our duty to train up the next generation of responsible owners so they can pass along the legacy of this aspect of our American heritage. |
| Douglas Everett | State Senate LD18 | Republican | I’m pro-2nd-Amendment and pro-statewide regulation without local patchwork regulation. I oppose confusing, conflicting regulation that needs a lawyer to interpret. |
| David Gowan | State Senate LD19 | Republican | |
| Esteban Flores | State Senate LD21 | Republican | I Will Defend Our Second Amendment Rights all the way-the way our founders of our great constitution intended for us to have a God given liberty of the second amendment! |
| Frank Steele | State Senate LD24 | Republican | I am a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment and the individual right to keep and bear arms as a fundamental safeguard of liberty. I believe any law that infringes on this core constitutional right should be challenged and judged against the plain meaning of “shall not be infringed.” |
| Frank Carroll | State Senate LD28 | Republican | |
| Brandon Martin | Mayor of Sierra Vista | Nonpartisan | Citizens should not only bear arms to protect life, but should be able to own any arms to protect liberty from governments. When elected Mayor I will issue a proclamation declaring Sierra Vista a 2nd Amendment City. |
