Since COVID-19 venue restrictions prevented AzCDL from holding our scheduled annual meeting of members this year, we are bringing the meeting to you. You can “attend” AzCDL’s October 10 annual meeting from the comfort of home, and without social distancing or having to wear a mask.
Pre-recorded videos will go live on AzCDL’s YouTube channel at 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 10. Videos will play in sequence to replicate the course of the meeting. If you miss the initial showing, you can catch it again on your schedule.
Kicking off the meeting will be AzCDL President Dave Kopp, who will discuss what we have to look forward to in the 2021 Arizona Legislative session and what that means for our Right to Keep and Bear Arms. We have quite a bit of work to do, there are forces conspiring against us.
Cheryl Todd from Gun Freedom Radio, has assembled a panel highlighting how diverse groups fight for our rights and the strategies they use. Run time is an hour and half. Panelists include:
- Chris Cheng, Season 4 Top Shot Champion
- Johanna Rosaly, LatinaLockedAndLoaded
- Rolando De La Vega, Puerto Rican Pistolero
The keynote speaker is Kevin Dixie, the owner-operator of No Other Choice Firearms Training (NOC), and the Founder of Aiming For The Truth, a program focused on getting to the roots of the factors that are driving violence in our communities, rather than blaming firearms for the actions of violent people. Kevin has also developed and designed the first firearm that fights the lies of Gun Control, an H&K PV9 platform handgun titled “The Truth”.
In the 40-minute conversation with Cheryl, Kevin talks about historical examples of rights denial and the reasons that cause those denials. He discusses situations where men and women of color have been denied their rights and the contemporary parallels and how that can affect us. He reveals how the politics of power can blindside people into thinking that the denial of rights can be a good thing for both sides. Some powerful thoughts from a passionate individual.
